It's the last month of the year!! Can you believe it? I was just thinking on how fast 2014 has gone by this year and to think that 2015 is just around the corner!! Of course, with the holidays this past week and ones coming up in just a few weeks, December ends up being one of the busiest times of the year. So I decided that I should write down my goals for this month in hopes that I can keep my head above the water:) (hoping that won't be snow!!!)
Craft goals-
-Finish up with a few hand-mades that I have going for my 12 Days of Christmas exchange partner.
-Decide if I need to make any other hand-mades for friends and family.
-I had hoped to get a few blankets done for my friend's foster kids. I'm not sure this can get finished at this point, but I will add it to my goals:)
-Get my scarf knitted before my neck freezes!!
-*MAYBE* knit a hat for my dd.
House Goals-
-Get the tree up - usually this is done the weekend after Thanksgiving, but we ended up at my parent's on Saturday and then hubby went to work on a truck at his parent's house on Sunday. It not only takes getting the tree out of storage, but some re-arranging in the living room as well. So maybe this coming weekend?
-Umm, clean? Or not, not sounds better:) Okay, I really do need to clean up some. I have a schedule made now, and it sounds really good, I just need to actually follow it!! LOL
-Help hubby build a better shelter for the outdoor/stray dog. I'm thinking he's not a stray anymore:) He won't come in the house for more than a few minutes at a time (and this is after really working on getting him to come in at all). We have a temp shelter for him to get out of the wind/cold, but it needs to be insulated better. Actually he could go to the lean-to, it has straw bales and it protected from the wind, but it isn't very close to the house and he likes being right by the front door. The cats all have a few places they like to go already, so now it's the dog's turn.
School Goals -
-Have dd finish Health, get ready for Science for next semester.
-A couple of Math tests.
-Finish 'Early American History', be ready for Modern American History
-Actually work on German!!
-Continue on in English
4-H Goals -
-Finish up enrollment
-Turn in the last of the paperwork for the year
-Christmas Caroling/meeting next week
-Gather donations for local Soup Kitchen
-Pass out and collect money for T-Shirt orders
Okay, I think that'll do. Obviously I didn't add things like shopping for Christmas and all the extra holiday things, but this should get the 'have-to's' out of the way. It always makes me feel better to get it all written down:)

August Monthly To-Do List
Wow, the month of July just flew on past. The County Fair has come and gone, and what a long but fun week that was, and school is just around the corner. I really didn't get much done this month, again, so I will need to refocus and try, try again to get my goals completed!!!
Here is what I got to last month...
1. Got the quilt top all put together.
My goals for this month are...
1. Finish and post Ho Ho Ho blog hop projects.
2. Start, finish and post Queen of Hexes blog hop projects
3. Sandwich and start quilting on my patriotic colored quilt.
4. Stitch and sew up a couple ornies.
5. Finish the embroidery on my 2 birds piece.
I should probably stop there as I'm sure I won't quite get all this done as it is:) Here's to hoping I can stay focused and get some of these projects finished up!!!

2. Took dd to one extra activity each week. We've gone to a public pool, a water park, a movie and a whole week of the county fair.
Umm, well, that was all:)

July Goals
I only finished ONE of my June goals!!! ACK!! I will have to do much better this month:) Only one more full month of summer break left, and I want to make it count. I've decided to add some personal goals to this list as well, so it won't all be about stitching.
The goal I did get done in June was this toddler sized blanket. I'm also working on a girl version.
For my July goals...
1. I want to finish stitching the other girl that will go along with this one and get them made into a needle case.
2. Get the top to this quilt all sewn together.

3. Get the birds all stitched up and made into a bag.
4. Have 2 ornaments to show off including this Spring Ornie from Prairie Schooler.
5. Have my 'Ho Ho Ho' blog hop projects done. My day for this hop won't be until Aug 7th, but I am determined to have this done before hand this time!! :)
For my personal goals...
1. Walk or do a exercise video at least 6 days a week all month.
2. Have the first week of school scheduled and ready.
3. Take dd to at least one extra activity for the next 5 weeks before school starts. This week we are going to a splash park with a play group. Okay, yes play groups are usually for little kids, and this one is too, but dd's best friend has a little sister and her best friend was the only kid over 10 when these play groups started. So we started going too so that she would have someone there for her. Most of the littles at this group are the siblings of the older kids in their Youth Group. So dd gets to see her best friend for both Youth Group and Play Dates:) I think my dd is going to turn into a drowned rat with all the swim team practices, swimming at my parents house, going to the public pool and then these splash park play dates!!! She really loves the water:)
4. 'Spring Cleaning' all done before school starts back up. I'm horrible when it comes to house work so I try to take the summer months and do a bit of deeper cleaning that I won't get to during the school year. I hate house cleaning!!! But I do like having a clean house and with as small as our house is, it really needs it!!
Okay that should do for this month. I have a few other things I hope to also get done, but as you can see from last month, I probably wouldn't get to them!! LOL

June Goals
Our Summer schedule is finally starting to come together, so I thought I would come up with a few crafty goals for the month. I figured I'd better do this before I let the month get away from me!! That is SOOO easy to do during the summer:)
Top 5 goals for June...
1. I would like to get this quilt top all put together. I'd really like to start the quilting on it too, but I don't think that'll happen:)
2. I would like to completely finish this toddler blanket. It will go to a friend that takes care of respite and foster children. I'll leave it up to her whether she keeps it or gives it away.
3. I want to get this made into a needle book. There will be a second girl involved in the project as well;) For those who asked for a link to this pattern, I am still looking for it. Like I said before, I printed this off years and years ago and I am having trouble finding the original. I wish I wrote these down then like I do now to make sure I could give credit where it is due. I will continue to search for the designer of this chart.
4. I want to get this stitched up and made into a bag. I am actually about half done with the stitching on this, but I don't want to spoil it by showing it off yet. My stitching on it is getting better, you can really see where I started from where I am now, but I am going to leave it that way so I can see my progress.

5. I want to have a couple of ornies made up this month too as I've really fallen behind on that. I have one just almost done and another picked out to work on. No pics for this.
I think I have a nice variety of projects I want to work on. Some crocheting, quilting, sewing and stitching. I may also have to throw in my dd's horse cross stitch into the rotation as she has been getting after me about that!!

April's To Do List
Thearica of Pig Tales and Quilts is the host of this monthly challenge. The purpose is to list 5 craft related goals that you want to accomplish during the month and then at the end of the month reveal how much you actually got done!! Since I have been lagging behind on my 52 in 52 goals and since this month, and the next, are my busy with all sorts of non-crafty things month - you know the months of the year when all the birthdays, anniversaries, activities start to melt into one big 'running-around-like-a-chicken-with-your-head-cut-off' frenzy. Hopefully taking a minute to really think on what things I still want to try and accomplish will help to organize my thoughts and help me to get more done.
For April I would like 'To-Do':
1. Finish my March ornie and my April ornie:)
2. Finish and send off the Tractor block for LoveQuilts
3. Finish and send off and exchange package
4. Sew 5 more rows on my patchwork quilt and sew all rows, that I have so far, together
5. Finish my Pom Pom projects and post for the 'Shake Your Pom Poms' blog hop - see left sidebar.
I have lots of other non-stitch things that need to get done this month as well. It's just a busy time of year:) Hopefully I can get part of that first 'To-Do' item marked off by tomorrow or Thursday. Just almost done with my March ornie!!
