Another wonderful blog hop idea from the BLOG HOP QUEEN herself... Madam Samm. This hop has been hosted by Debby, who has done a wonderful job of encouraging us and keeping us all organized!! Thanks ladies for all the work you do!!
Okay, on to my project. I have to make a confession here. I chickened out big time with this. I had a big project in mind for this. I even went out and bought all the materials that I would need for it. Then I waited and waited. The hexies scared the 'hex' out of me:) In the mean-time I found a cute little 'cheater' project that I wanted to try out.
Found inspiration for this project at THIS blog. |
Way too late in the game (like this past weekend) I found another little hexie project that I figured I could give a try. I knew I wouldn't get this one finished in time (actually it'll work for the next blog hop, so I'll be showing off the finished project soon), but I did want to show that I figured out how to make the hexes and that I actually enjoyed doing it. Now to start sewing them together!!! We'll see how that goes:)
Thanks for taking a look:)
Here is the line-up for the rest of today's bloggers...
Your snowmen hexies turned out sew cute! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCute ! I know what you mean about chickening out. I did the same thing. I ended up making a quicky project. I think I'll leave the hexies to Geta. the real Hexie q
ReplyDeleteQueen.
Your little snowmen are adorable. And I can't wait to see the other project in the next hop.

So very cute!!! LOL!!! I'm having the same problem with my hexies...I start them and never finish them...sigh...but I do love hexie quilts when they are all done:):) Thanks for sharing:):)
ReplyDeleteYour snowmen are really cute! Which is what is important! Quilting (in my eyes) is just another word for "finding the best way to cheat". Or, you could say you have found a new way to create an adorable project! In short, you did really well. I look forward to seeing the finished result in the next hop!
ReplyDeleteA sweet little snowman hexie ornament. I totally understand what you're talking about, always finding another project while thinking of the first. Then the other is done, and the first will rest in a plastic bag for a long time. But now you can start it, and take your time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in finishing your next project, it looks like it will be a cutie.
ReplyDeleteI love your snowmen. They are real cuties. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteVery cute ideas even if you chickened out! I get the "scared the hex out of you" I feel the same way. I can make the hexies, but I'm afraid of commitment ! I don't know what to do! Too many ideas and no commitment makes for a lot of hexies lying around with nothing to do! : )

ReplyDeleteI am very partial to snowmen, yours are sweet. If you didn't fess up to it being a fall back project you could have said it was a small wall hanging. I wouldn't tell.;}
ReplyDeleteI agree sometimes it is hard to get motivated for a project. Hexies intimidate me also but I picked out a pattern today I might try. Your monkies will be cute. And I do like the snowmen.
ReplyDeleteIt offered to translate from Russian on Chrome browser, LOL. Monkeys will be adorable! Snowmen even more so.
